Fit and safety checklist

  • Measure the required working length, not only the pin diameter.
  • Confirm the ball detent clears the far side of the receiving hardware.
  • Check the pin, spring and mating holes for wear before each critical use.
  • Do not assume a generic pin is suitable for a load-bearing or safety-critical application without engineering confirmation.

Delivered-cost tip: This is a low-value hardware item. Adding the required quantities or compatible fittings to one cart may make shipping more cost-efficient. Final shipping is shown at checkout for the cart and destination.

Questions

Is 6.3 mm automatically compatible with every 1/4 in hinge?
No. Tolerances, working length and retention clearance must all be checked.

Is the pin maintenance-free?
No. Rinse, inspect and replace it if the shaft, ring, spring or ball detent shows damage or unreliable movement.
