Selection checklist
| Vessel | Length, displacement, windage and available storage |
|---|---|
| Operating area | Water depth, wind, current and recovery method |
| Seabed | Grapnel anchors behave differently on rock, weed, sand and mud |
| Rode | Use suitable chain, rope, shackles, scope and attachment points |
Anchor weight alone does not determine safe holding. Follow vessel and local anchoring guidance and seek qualified advice when sizing is uncertain. Inspect the anchor, collar, rode and connections before use.
Heavier variants may require destination-specific shipping arrangements. Available services and final charges are shown at checkout; contact sales@airowmarine.com with the required weight and destination if a shipping review is needed.
Questions
Which size fits a specific boat length?
Boat length is only one factor. Provide vessel type, displacement, operating area, seabed and rode details for a preliminary discussion.
Can stainless steel still corrode?
No. 316 stainless steel is selected for marine corrosion resistance, but deposits, crevices and poor maintenance can still cause staining or corrosion. Rinse and inspect it regularly.
